I called the second arc of the first novel, “Fury of the Gods,” because it deals with the story’s transition from romance to mystery. The first half of the novel dealt with the two protagonists budding romance and the mystery between them, but its the romance that takes center stage. But that kind of thing can’t go on forever, can it?
So, the second half of the novel deals with the reality of their freshly minted relationship: what, exactly, is the nature of the mystery between them?
Now that the intense uncertainty of their relationship is fading, there’s no better time to tackle the subject.
